Experience a traditional Italian flavor combination crafted for a quick yet refined meal. This soup mix allows you to prepare a dish in just 15 minutes that delivers the depth and richness of a soup slow cooked for hours. Clear instructions include suggestions for enhancing the soup’s heartiness. Made with all-natural ingredients, this mix provides a healthy and satisfying meal.
Yields 6 servings.
DIRECTIONS 1) Brown 1 pound of ground Italian sausage in a large sauce pan: drain if needed.
2) Add 4 cups water, 2 cups milk or half and half, and Italian soup mix (including pasta), stirring well.
3) Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often to prevent pasta from sticking.
4) Simmer until soup has thickened and pasta is cooked through (about 2-3 minutes). Top with parmesan cheese and enjoy!
VARIATIONS: Stir in fresh spinach just before serving. To make it spicy, use spicy Italian sausage and/or crushed red pepper flakes.
OTHER TOPPINGS: Shredded mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, diced red bell pepper
